Lions rely on teamwork, circling and testing the hippo. They look for weakness — injury, exhaustion, or if the hippo is too far from water. The goal is to jump onto its back and try to avoid the massive jaws. Weighs 1,500–3,000 kg (3,300–6,600 lbs). Has one of the strongest bite forces in Africa.
