Description

I'm planting my White Spruce (Picea glauca) as a root over rock planting. I was given this tree in 2022 when my wife ran for the Green Party. I'll call this tree "The Green Party Spruce" The white spruce is a hardy, long-lived coniferous evergreen that is native across Canada and the northern U.S. It is commonly used for windbreaks, reforestation, and ornamental landscaping and is known for its conical shape, 15–30 meter height, blue-green needles, and ability to thrive in varied soils, including cold, moist conditions.
