Description
A southerly is kicking up a gear today and into Friday for Australia's south-east corner, with a burst of potentially damaging winds and some heavy rain for eastern Victoria and the very south-east of NSW.
Once this event eases on Saturday a mostly dry and much calmer forecast comes in, not just for NSW and Vic, but also the A.C.T, Tas, Qld and the NT. The Tasman Sea islands also have a more settled forecast coming up.
While WA has Cyclone Narelle in the days ahead (see our special Thursday update on the storm), a more settled forecast comes in next week there too.
