Hugo By The Lake

This painting marks a pretty big occasion for our family. It was a month before we made the move to Wanaka. Hugo, with his wee tootsies out, waded into the water, sparkles glistening behind. It was a magic moment. Here in this painting I was playing with the value to try to get that sparkly feel. I also started playing with the Cobalt Teal and the Magenta creating fragmented colours in the background. Ah - the memories!
