Big military plane touches down in London at small airfield

Watch a C-17 Globemaster arrive at RAF Northolt in London. A small airfield used to handling private jets, helicopters and the occasional military transport. This plane is the largest to visit the base once in a blue moon. The strategic airlifter didn't off-load any cargo after arriving from Edinburgh, with only some personnel alighting - suggesting a training flight. One common example of which is a C-17 that rehearses a flight from Scotland to London once a year in the event the monarch must be transported back to the capital following their passing up north; as seen during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
