Footballer recovers from life-changing injuries to meet Erling Harland | SWNS

A former footballer paralysed from the neck down has made a moving return to the pitch and met his hero, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. Sæha Heirati, 22, from Raufoss, Norway, was a winger for Raufoss IL and close to signing a professional contract when he suffered a C4/C5 spinal cord injury in November 2019. The injury occurred during a post-season team gathering when a teammate accidentally collided with him as he attempted a backward roll. Footage shows Sæha meeting Haaland and other idols, including Norway captain Martin Ødegaard, as he says family and football keep his hope alive.
