Himanshoo Patel’s EV journey began with a vision to make electric mobility accessible for middle-class families. While observing his region, he realized that branded electric scooters were too expensive and often unavailable, leaving many people without affordable options. To address this, he initially opened a dealership but soon encountered major challenges, especially delayed warranty services that frustrated customers. Determined to create a better solution, he decided to establish his own brand of electric scooters. In August 2023, Patel traveled to China to study the EV market and explore opportunities. Despite limited funding, with the support of his brother and close friend Mr. Satyaveer, he co-founded Pulse Drive India Pvt. Ltd. and launched Josh Electric. Their first model, Josh Electric 001 (Activa Model), was introduced in 2023, followed by two more—Josh Electric Double Light and Josh Electric Single Light—in February 2024. Designed to be affordable, reliable, and user-friendly, these products quickly gained traction. Within just a year, Josh Electric established 27 exclusive dealerships across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
