Macramé Phone Bag Tutorial ☺️ Take two cords, 150 cm each, and fold or tie them as shown in the video — these will be the base cords where the rest of the ropes will be attached. Then attach: • 24 pieces of 4 mm rope total – 12 pieces on each side The bag is made with square knots, but the outer cords of each knot will swap with the neighbouring knots to create a dense woven pattern. To save rope, you can use this method: For each group of 4 cords: • the 2 middle cords can be shorter — around 40 cm • the 2 outer cords should be longer — around 110 cm This works because the middle cords are mostly used as filler cords and are not actively tied into the knots. Try making just 2 rows first — you’ll immediately understand the pattern logic ☺️ For the bottom of the bag, continue using the same square knot technique. To avoid making too many knots, I only use every second cord from each side to close the bottom faster and more neatly. Finally, create an adjustable strap using a bundle of square knots.
