Do Bees Protect Their Queen?

Everyone thinks bees protect their queen, but they don’t. 🐝 Their defence is aimed at the hive, not her. The queen hides in the shadows, away from the action, while the workers guard the nest. 🐝 During removals, I usually don’t find her until the very end, often on the last piece of comb, calmly waiting it out. — © Hinterland Bees
