DataHub: The HumanTech data engine

In the HumanTech project, data is a strategic resource for research. To better manage them, the HumanTech DataHub Lab was created, a centralised infrastructure for data collection, storage and analysis. This platform integrates information from heterogeneous laboratories and databases, offering scalable and flexible solutions for advanced processing. As Prof. Carlotta Orsenigo, the Lab's scientific director, points out: The DataHub is the key to enhancing HumanTech's data and fostering a culture of collaboration. Connecting to this infrastructure means driving change and innovation. HumanTech – Humans and Technology is the project selected and financed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) for the 2023-2027 period as part of the initiative “Departments of Excellence”. The initiative rewards departments that stand out for the quality of the research produced and funds specific development projects. The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering is among the 180 Italian departments funded, across all scientific disciplines, and ranked first within the Industrial and Information Engineering area nationwide.
