“Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates that the Holy Prophet (sa) said: ‘There is no day on which two angels do not descend when people rise in the morning. One of them says, “O Allah, grant a replacement to the one who spends.” The other says, “O Allah, destroy the wealth of the miser.”’ In other words, Allah the Almighty grants more to those who spend in His cause and for the benefit of others, whereas the wealth of the miser is deprived of blessings. Even in this world, such wealth often brings no true benefit, and in the next life it will be of no avail.
