Donald Trump will have a 'bilateral tea' with Chinese President Xi Jinping on day three of his visit to China. The US president will visit the Zhongnanhai Garden ahead of the meeting. On day two of the visit, Trump received a red carpet welcome at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing as he met Xi. After the customary music, handshakes and marching soldiers, Trump enjoyed the sight of children chanting "welcome!" as they waved flags. Inside the Great Hall, the US president turned on the charm, praising Xi and talking up their relationship. After a bilateral meeting, both groups returned to the Great Hall of the People for a state banquet. In his toast, Xi said US-China relations are the most important bilateral relations in the world, raising a glass to the development and future of the two countries. For his part, Trump said he "cherished" the chance to speak with Xi during their "productive" conversations today and invited the Chinese leader to the White House on 24 September. Elon Musk, Tim Cook and Jensen Huang are among the top business leaders accompanying the U.S. president on the trip.
