Marlin Model 1895 SBL

Introduced in 1972 and named in honor of the Marlin Model of 1895 (produced from 1895–1917), the current (New) Model 1895 rifle offered in .45-70 caliber utilizes the same Model 336 receiver design and lever action mechanism used in the Marlin Model 444. In late 2021, Ruger reintroduced the Marlin Model 1895 SBL, marking the first Marlin rifle produced under its ownership after acquiring the brand from Remington. This re-release preserved the classic lever-action design chambered in .45-70 Government, while incorporating modern upgrades like a spiral-fluted nickel-plated bolt, a threaded barrel for muzzle devices, and a refined Picatinny rail for optics.
