Why did Trump set his sights on Kharg Island

Donald Trump said on Monday that the US completely obliterating Iran's energy grid and perhaps even water treatment works which some critics have claimed amounts to a war crime. And yet, he still maintains great progress is being made in talks with Iran to end military operations. President Trump's constant switching between peace and war is not being mirrored by Israel, neither in Iran, and certainly not in Lebanon. Israel remains laser-focused on targeting Hezbollah across its northern border in Lebanon. An Israeli airstrike to the south of the Lebanese capital Beirut has killed one person and injured another.
