Next we move to Western Australia, where 20 year old Jayson Joseph Michaels from Bindoon has become the first person in the state charged with preparing a terrorist act. Police allege he was radicalised online and planning a mass casualty attack targeting locations including Police Headquarters, Parliament House and places of Muslim worship. Officers seized weapons, ammunition and a manifesto outlining the alleged plans. Staying in Western Australia, the Bandidos bikie club is seeking retrospective approval for a clubhouse operating out of an industrial unit in Willetton after the City of Canning discovered the premises following a police raid last year. Up in Queensland, police have launched Operation Yankee Forge in Cairns, a six month crackdown targeting repeat offenders and high crime areas. The operation follows earlier enforcement actions that resulted in thousands of charges and multiple weapons being seized. Also in Queensland, detectives working under Operation Victor Jenga charged a 42 year old alleged Mongols bikie member after a raid in Mount Sheridan where police allegedly located drugs, firearms, cash and drug paraphernalia. In a separate Queensland investigation, two men were arrested after coordinated raids in Rockhampton, Mackay and the Gold Coast. Police allegedly seized 9.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, cocaine, more than 175 thousand dollars in cash and several vehicles linked to a drug trafficking operation. Next we head to New South Wales, where a failed kidnapping plot has revealed the alleged involvement of fugitive underworld figure Anthony Pele. Police say the plan was linked to a massive cocaine stash of more than 700 kilograms discovered inside a Ryde apartment in 2023. Across Australia, the Australian Border Force says it has disrupted the supply of illicit ketamine after seizing about 438 kilograms worth roughly 75 million dollars in just one month. The drugs were concealed in shipments including statues, toys and aquarium gravel. Next we are in Bali, where three Australian men known as the Bali Three are facing murder and other serious charges over a gangland shooting that left Zivan Radmanovic dead and Sanar Ghanim wounded. One of the accused, Sydney plumber Darcy Jenson, claims he was manipulated by an unknown mastermind and maintains he is innocent. A verdict in the case is expected soon. In Victoria, a family in Pakenham was forced to hide inside their home while offenders armed with machetes, bats and a firearm attempted to break in but targeted the wrong house. Three suspects aged between 18 and 23 were later arrested as police investigate possible gang retaliation linked to earlier violence. And finally in Sydney, two women appeared in court accused of attempting to smuggle more than 38 kilograms of methamphetamine into New South Wales from Singapore. Authorities say the drugs were hidden in suitcases beneath towels, and both women now face charges that carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
