Innovation begins with artists. The LG Guggenheim Award is the flagship program of the LG Guggenheim Art and Technology Initiative, a multi-year collaboration between LG and the Guggenheim. The award recognizes one artist annually for their groundbreaking achievements in technology-based art, with the selected artist receiving an unrestricted honorarium of $100,000. As we prepare to reveal the 2026 award recipient, we’re looking back at the visionary artists honored from 2023–2025: transmedia artist Stephanie Dinkins, net art pioneer Shu Lea Cheang, and visual and media artist Ayoung Kim.
