Let’s be clear, and here, I’m speaking to fans of the brands, while this 2.0-litre four has been gussied up in many guises — turbocharged, supercharged, turbocharged and supercharged as well as various denominations of electrification — underneath the skin, Volvo’s one and only ICE is now 13 years old.
