Former Iranian political prisoner says conflict rooted in ‘47 years of war’

Former Iranian political prisoner and NYU international relations professor Kian Tajbakhsh says the current conflict should be viewed as part of a decades-long confrontation between Iran, the U.S. and Israel. Speaking to Global’s Jazan Grewal, Tajbakhsh said many Iranians see the strikes as a response to a conflict that began with the 1979 revolution.
