King and Queen celebrate 25th Anniversary of the Eden Project

King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Cornwall, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Eden Project. The Eden Project features biomes that house thousands of plant species from around the world, blending science, architecture, and conservation. It offers visitors a chance to explore global ecosystems up close. As the project turns 25, the plans are to expand the project to new sites. Their majesties were greeted with a singing performance by local schoolchildren and then took time to view a section of the new marble run, which is a handcrafted wooden track over 100 meters. Staff and gardeners met with their highnesses to discuss human connection with nature and habitat restoration. The King and Queen then meet local volunteers for a celebratory Big Lunch. Their Majesties unveiled a plaque and cut a commemorative cake to celebrate the Eden Project anniversary and the upcoming Big Lunch and The Big Help Out event in June. This annual get together event is the UK’s biggest celebration of community and where millions of people come together to volunteer and share food and celebrate friendship.
