"You're a coward." That is what Republican Congressman Knott said to a prosecutor's face after walking through how he handled an abduction case. A four-year-old girl yanked out of her bed. A defendant the prosecutor tried to lock in to a maximum two-year sentence through a plea deal. A judge appointed by Senator Warner, not some right-wing pick, rejected the deal and cited overwhelming evidence the defendant was a threat to children. So the prosecutor dismissed the case.
