Description

In 2022, TFBTV was granted rare access inside Beretta headquarters in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, including a preserved private office that is normally closed to the public. This was the working space of Giuseppe Antonio Beretta, the man responsible for modernizing Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta in the 1800s and helping transform it from a regional gunmaker into a global firearms manufacturer. Now, as Beretta approaches its 500 year anniversary, we’re revisiting that incredible access before returning to Italy for new coverage of the milestone. Inside this room are handwritten ledgers from the 19th century, original sales catalogs, early documentation following the 1850 flood that destroyed Beretta’s forging house along the Mella River, and even travel permits issued by European rulers that allowed Beretta leadership to cross borders in a time before modern passports. This office represents the turning point where Beretta evolved into the modern company we know today. Stay tuned for more Beretta 500 year anniversary coverage coming soon.
