Arveent Kathirtchelvan, a youth activist in the Socialist Party of Malaysia (Parti Sosialis Malaysia - PSM), speaks to Green Left's Peter Boyle, about the political mood of young people in Malaysia who have been hit hard by stagnant wages and a growing unemployment and underemployment crisis. The PSM is contesting upcoming state elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan in a progressive bloc with Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA), a youth-centred party.
