Racing bikes can be brutal. Elation, fear, heartache, injury, it has it all. After years, months, hours of training in the lead up to this year’s National Championships, it was ultimately a split second decision only a few weeks earlier that cost Fiona Millburn a spot on the start line. Obvioulsy, not the way she wanted to end the season, but it meant her MAAP Sixpence CX Teammates Chris Aitken and Garry Millburn were gifted with a bolstered cheer squad and support crew for their endeavours.
