Audi has officially debuted the new RS5, marking a major transition as the performance line’s first plug-in hybrid. Replacing the previous RS4 and RS5 models, it is available as both a sedan and an Avant wagon. The core of the vehicle remains a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, but it is now paired with an electric motor for a combined output of 630 horsepower and 608 pound-feet of torque. This setup allows for a 0 to 62 mph sprint in 3.6 seconds. The 25.9-kWh battery provides an electric-only range of approximately 54 miles and supports 11-kW AC charging. A standout technical feature is the new electromechanical torque vectoring system on the rear axle, which can adjust power distribution between wheels in just 15 milliseconds. Visually, the car is about 3.5 inches wider than the standard A5, featuring flared arches and a honeycomb grille. Inside, a triple-screen dashboard dominates the layout.
