Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a WRRS mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
After catching the weekly siren test in Covington, TN, @vtgrxrman and I were heading south towards Memphis, with the intention of stopping in Millington, TN, to document a few older pedestrian signals there. On our way down US 51, we heard the defect detector down towards Lucy reading-out for a northbound, so, as we'd just passed this crossing, I decided to quickly swing back 'round to record the train here. Thankfully, we were able to beat the train here with a several minutes to spare, and, as such, were able to get our third and final train of the day here: a northbound CN grain train with a pair of ES44DCs for power. This also wound-up being our final train of the year.
Thankfully, as you can see, absolutely nothing has changed to this crossing since we last recorded it back in April. I suppose it's kinda fitting that our first CN crossing of the year would also wind-up being our last, seeing as I was able to record a bunch of CN crossings this year (and certainly way more than in years prior). IMHO, it's also quite nice that Harris and I got to finish-off our railfanning in 2025 with a WRRS bell as well.
