According to Iranian statements broadcast by state media, the targets were American military facilities located in three countries in the region: Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. In particular, Iranian sources point to strikes on the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, the US drone control center in Bahrain, and a number of airfields in Kuwait, including the Ali al-Salem base. Against this backdrop, countries in the region have adopted defensive measures. In Kuwait, for example, the military confirmed the operation of air defense systems. The country's authorities have not yet provided precise data on the attack's aftermath, refraining from commenting on possible damage or casualties. The situation in Bahrain also remains tense. US Central Command reported a successful operation in Iran, during which strategic facilities were destroyed, including air defense systems, missile launchers, UAV bases, and coastal infrastructure. The aim of the attack was to eliminate the threat to free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important artery to which, according to Washington, Tehran does not have exclusive rights. Earlier, White House President Donald Trump publicly confirmed Washington's firm intention to take tough measures against Iranian authorities for their attempts to block the free passage of merchant ships. Currently, the Israeli army is refraining from direct involvement in this armed conflict in the Middle East. According to analytical sources in Tel Aviv, the Iranian leadership is currently seeking to avoid opening an additional full-scale front against Israel. However, the situation would immediately change if Tehran decided to commit aggression against the Jewish state or if the United States called on Israel to do so. Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued new harsh statements against the country's opponents amid the ongoing escalation of the military situation in the region. "We vow to avenge the blood of all those 'fallen' in these two wars, and soon some of the free people around the world will fulfill, each in their own way, a part of this divine mission," Khamenei said. As previously reported, in a statement released after his father's funeral, Mojtaba Khamenei declared Iran's intention to seek retribution for the death of the country's former supreme leader. He emphasized that, in his view, the demand for revenge is supported by Iranian society and must be realized as soon as possible. The new supreme leader also said those responsible for the death of his father and others killed in the conflict must be held accountable, adding that Iran's supporters around the world, he said, were ready to support further action in that direction.
