2026 Honda Civic Hybrid | Driving.ca

#HondaCivicHybrid #hybridcars Honda used to make a hybrid version of its Civic quite a while back, and then discontinued it a decade ago. It finally returned for 2025, and took home a slew of awards when it did, including Canadian Car of the Year from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), and North American Car of the Year trophies, among others. And from the seat of my carried-over 2026 tester, it earned those awards. It’s not just a good hybrid, but it’s one of the better vehicles I’ve driven in a while. For that matter, almost all of the few hybrid compact sedans still available, including the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid and Toyota Corolla Hybrid, are really good drivers. The Civic also boasts some Canadian cred, as both the gas-only and hybrid versions are built at Honda’s plant in Alliston, Ontario.
