Description

Two weeks of animating Luffy every single day! 🏴‍☠️ It’s been an incredible journey so far! From exploring fast movements and Nakamura-inspired smears to practicing character acting and backgrounds. In this video, I’ve compiled the first 14 days of my challenge to animate until the One Piece anime returns. Learnings so far: - Testing Ideas: I've gotten much better at testing ideas quickly to see what works and what doesn't! - Animation from Imagination: It takes a lot of testing, but the more I animate, the more I build a "mental library" of techniques that I know will look appealing. - Sketch Quality: It’s a challenge to bring a daily animation to a cleaned-up stage. Since I only have one day, most stay quite rough (Day 3 is probably my most "clean" so far). A big goal for the future is to practice cleaning up my work more efficiently! - The Power of Grey: Adding simple grey tones helps so much with depth. It helps the viewer quickly distinguish what is in the foreground vs. the background. - Timing & Spacing: I'm experimenting a lot with contrast—how fast something can be versus how slow. The more I animate, the better my "gut feeling" for timing gets! Would you like me to make a video on my process and what I've learned so far? Let me know in the comments! Feedback is also always welcome. Which day was your favorite? Let me know below! I’m learning so much every day about timing, spacing, and character consistency. Thanks for following the journey! 🙏 #OnePiece #Luffy #2dAnimation #Sakuga #AnimationChallenge #AnimeArt #作画 #Progress #onepieceanime Chapters: 0:00 Day 1 0:03 Day 2 0:10 Day 3 0:16 Day 4 0:20 Day 5 0:26 Day 6 0:30 Day 7 0:35 Day 8 0:37 Day 9 0:43 Day 10 0:50 Day 11 0:55 Day 12 1:03 Day 13 1:13 Day 14
