Ford Built A Special Edition That Has To Work

A Carhartt badge on a Super Duty is either decoration or a job description, and there is not much room in between. Ford chose XLT, cloth, all terrain tires, off road running boards, a spray in bedliner, and materials meant for owners who climb in with boots still carrying the elements. The question is whether this co-branded Super Duty feels like useful workwear, or just another special edition. This is a first look at the 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt Package, shown as a Super Duty F-250 XLT Crew Cab single rear wheel 4x4. The package includes 20 inch machined and painted wheels, LT275/65R20E all-terrain tires, off road running boards, a Tough Bed spray in bedliner with Carhartt logo, Carhartt-inspired cloth seats, triple stitching, premium all weather floor mats, lower body graphics, LED roof marker lamps, LED fog lamps, and a unique dark-painted grille. Ford says the seat material is commercial grade, with 50% more abrasion resistance than standard truck trims, and liquids can bead on the surface for up to 30 minutes.
