It appeared as if India took things lightly in the second half. At one end, Abhishek Sharma went hammer and tongs, batting the only way he knows and scored 49 off 20 balls. At the other end, it was the Irish debutants who were wreaking havoc with the ball. In-form batters Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer all departed cheaply. Tilak Varma's struggles to get going continued. Dube and Sundar tried to rebuild, but they couldn't sustain the pressure. Axar ran out of partners and eventually succumbed to pressure.
