Description
Glazing pottery can sometimes be looked at as being quite a passive process. Pots are dipped, taken out, they're tidied up a touch and hey-presto, they're ready for the kiln. In reality, there's a vast amount of thought and attention that goes into glazing pottery, even simply dipping mugs like this. How they're held with tongs, how they're removed, how they're moved around thereafter so the glaze settles into a neat, even layer, how they're then tided up the following day and all the other subtleties that go into keeping glazed pots clean and the environment itself you're working in dust free, relatively.
It's complex and repetitive and it can be painful, strenuous, but I hope this video provide you with numerous tips and tricks on how to go about this process a little easier.
Thanks for taking your time to watch!
