I had to BREAK THE GATE to get in because they were DESPERATE for help

She had two kids who couldn't play in the backyard because it had gotten completely out of control, and their little battery-powered push mower just couldn't handle it anymore. So I headed right over. When I pulled up, the front yard actually looked fine because they'd been keeping up with it. But once they walked me around back, it was a completely different story. The grass was crazy tall, there were vines and weed trees taking over, and on top of all that there was a ton of junk and trash scattered everywhere that needed to go. I told them I'd love to help, but there was one big issue. The gate on their fence was maybe two feet wide and I could barely fit through it myself, let alone get any equipment back there. Turns out they'd had problems with that gate for a while, couldn't even get their trash can through it. So I asked if I could tear it out and build them a wider one, and they were all for it. I went and picked up a fence panel and some hardware, replaced the whole gate first, and once I had enough room to work, I brought in the equipment and started clearing everything out. We hauled all the junk and trash off the property, knocked down all the tall grass, trimmed up the trees, and cleaned up the edges until the whole backyard opened back up. When the family went back there for the first time, they said they'd never seen that much sunlight back there.
