This is a Portrait of David was one of my Tisch Academy VIP Livestreams! It was painted using the alla prima technique. This is where you paint in one sitting while the painting is still wet. The technique allows for a certain amount of blending between colors, along with a bolder, more expressive brush stroke. Have you ever painted alla prima?
