Exploring the High Country. Mitta Mitta, Mt Benambra & Mt Emu.

G'day all! It was time for another trip into the Vic High Country, and time to explore new places. So, i started of in Mitta Mitta and Eskdale. I had a few points of interest that i wanted to explore around Mitta Mitta, including Lake Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Dam, and Mt Benambra. The views from the firetower lookout platform were Brilliant. Next up, it was time to hit some tracks. I planned on hitting the Razorback Spur track, to avoid the Omeo Highway, hoping to take in some of those awesome High Country views, but some tree-felling operations quickly changed those plans. Then it was time to cross valleys, from Mitta Mitta to Mount Beauty. I jumped onto the Hollow Way, a nice little drive with some great views. And then a great track to finish of the day: The Eskdale Spur track, a nice drive up to the summit of Mount Emu, which provided some superb views of the ranges, as the sun was beginning its period of setting.
