What Happened to the Homestuck Pilot?

Recently indie animation fans have been discussing and debating why certain indie pilots haven’t been picked up yet, with knights of guinevere being a big one. There’s one pilot that’s flown under the radar being the homestuck animated pilot. What happened to it? Let me explain. So the homestuck animated pilot was first announced back in august of last year. It released one month later in september. It got it’s own merch collections, one of which being a crossover with helluva boss. Since then there’s been nothing, not a single update. The official accounts haven’t posted since october. Alot of the homestuck merch was also delisted or put off sale. What is left is stuck on a perpetual 40% discount for new years despite it being 2026. The final nail in the coffin was that the pilot just underperformed in general. It only got 2 million views, it was also released to mixed reviews. I think this leaves two options, either the show has been cancelled. Or it’s still waiting to be greenlit. It could be either option honestly. Animation takes a long time, but animation can’t start until the show is picked up by a studio. Knights of guinevere was far bigger and it’s up in the air at the moment, so it’s not looking good for homestuck. What do you think? Do you think it’ll be greenlit?
