Description
This project mixes materials that normally should never work together — and somehow they created something truly unique.
The base is made from exotic zebrawood, and the center is epoxy resin with a pressed bubble-wrap texture 🤯🔥
On top of that, I used a chameleon pigment that shifts color depending on the angle of light, giving the whole surface a living, shifting 3D look.
The camera doesn’t even capture the full effect.
The mirror plexiglass numbers complete the piece and add a modern, sharp finish.
My goal was to create a clock that feels like a 3D object on the wall — and the bubble-wrap relief in resin does exactly that.
This is one of those experiments that turned into something surprisingly powerful.
A simple idea → a bold visual effect.
What do you think about combining wood, resin, and an unconventional texture like this?
Let me know in the comments — I’m really curious how you see it!
