Description
Late last year Mitsubishi upgraded the Outlander hybrid with a bigger battery, more power and additional features across the range.
Beneath the skin and spec sheets, the Japanese brand also improved noise suppression and riude quality with Aussie know-how. In doing so, though, the price has gone up making Mitsubishi’s plug-in family hauler more expensive than rivals such as the BYD Sealion 6 and Geely Starray EM-i.
Have Mitsubishi’s subtle tweaks been enough to give the Outlander PHEV the punch it needs to ramp up sales? Road test editor John Law finds out the new car is what it should have been from the start though isn’t sure about the value equation in our detailed video review.
