We tried a ridiculous new challenge: The 12 Hours at a Waterhole! From 5:30 AM until sundown, we were planted firmly at Shingi Dam. The goal was simple: witness the full daily cycle of the bush from one fixed point. This was less a game drive and more an extreme test of observation and mental endurance. Did we find lions? Did we race to a sighting? No. This week was about stillness and the massive rewards that come when you simply wait for the wild to come to you. Inside the 12-Hour Stakeout: The Early Risers: A casual zebra breaks the ice, followed by the tense, towering spectacle of a giraffe drinking. The Main Event: Witness two magnificent, massive shifts of elephants transforming the dam into a noisy, gargling spectacle (this alone made the 12 hours worth it!). The Great Lunch Break: Hours of absolute stillness that demand patience (and a good book). The Legendary Umbrella: A sudden downpour forces a ridiculous scramble to save the camera gear! It was an endurance test, but one that proved that sometimes, the greatest sightings are the small, earned moments that happen in between the chaos. Watch Now!
