Freeriders are always seeking new wild lines in uncharted terrain. In this trip local mountain biker Tom Woodward joins forces with New Zealand MTB guru Jeff Carter to search out a wild, unridden line, ride down the un-named south ridge of Ben Lomond mountain which towers above Queenstown.
It's a mission through some amazing terrain, passing through the high alpine environment complete with panoramic view over Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, and the rugged Remarkables mountain range.
Normally pioneer riding in isolated region only comes with much organisation and risk. Help and civilisation are a long way away.
However imagine this, huge mountains, big terrain, incredible riding - all right next to Queenstown. You get to enjoy the highs and lows of a big mountain trip, without having to sleep in a tent, or eat tinned beans. Winner!
