Firefighters from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service respond to a major industrial fire on Clarence Avenue, Trafford Park, Manchester (24/04/2026). Crews from Stretford, Eccles and Manchester Central were among the first on scene, confronted by a rapidly developing blaze tearing through part of a factory building With reports of chemicals and oil drums stored nearby, the situation quickly escalated—sparking fears of explosions as the fire intensified. Multiple fire engines, specialist units and an aerial appliance were mobilized as firefighters worked in extremely challenging conditions to contain the inferno.
