Jagger’s First Tying Lesson | Setting Foals Up for Success

One of the most important life skills every young horse needs to learn is how to tie safely and confidently. In this video, we introduce Jagger to his very first tying session using a Blocker Tie Ring, which allows him to learn without feeling trapped if he becomes unsure. Our goal with these early lessons is to build confidence, not create fear. We keep the experience calm and positive by grooming him while he’s tied, giving him something relaxing to focus on while he learns that standing quietly is both comfortable and rewarding. Every foal progresses at their own pace, and these first lessons lay the foundation for future handling, grooming, farrier visits, veterinary care, and everyday life as a well-mannered horse.
