For once, I don’t play everything simultaneously - instead I use a loop pedal to record each layer one after another, gradually creating a bigger-than-life orchestral feel that would be impossible to achieve solo, even with my special Frankenstein guitar! This one starts as a drizzle, foreshadowing all the heavy rain and lightning madness that’s yet to come. It slowly builds up, growing louder, denser, and more powerful, until it explodes into a full-on distorted “electric guitar” solo 🎸 And then, it swiftly transitions into “Thunderstorm” - reworked and reimagined version of my classic tune, originally written in 2017⚡️ What started as a dedication to one of my guitar inspirations, Preston Reed, eventually turned into an epic symphonic metal in two parts that, when played together, feels like a complete cinematic experience. Sometimes, when I tour in countries like China or Russia, some of you even approach me after the show and ask if we can play something as a duo. A lot of the time, it ends up being this song. And knowing how much time, effort, and love it takes to learn it thoroughly - it makes me feel like I’m doing something meaningful in life. Inspiring people to pick up their guitars, learn my songs, and hopefully take these ideas even further by evolving them and passing them on to a new generation of guitar players.
