For Frying & Tempering
200 ml oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
2–3 dried red chilies
A few curry leaves
Final Seasoning
Prepared pickling spice powder
2 tbsp red chili powder
(regular, Kashmiri, or a mix of both)
5 tbsp lemon juice
Additional salt to taste
