Bondi Beech: Trump Praises ‘Brave Man’ Who Tackled Gunman During Attack

Donald Trump has praised the “very brave” man who tackled the Bondi Beach gunman. The US president said he wanted to pay his respects “to everybody”, including “to Australia and the prime minister, to everybody that we know so well, that we get along with so well, we have a great relationship, that’s a terrible situation going on over there”. Trump singled out the “very, very brave person who went and attacked frontally one of the shooters and saved a lot of lives. Great respect to that man who did that.” The man, named by relatives as Ahmed al-Ahmed, is said to have been injured during the shooting and is being treated in hospital.
