OULTON - RACE 2 - Club Race 2025 - TWINS - RACE 2

After many tyre choice discussions, the rain finally came just before our race, so everyone was on wets...except Tommy Phillips 91, who went for inters. My plan was steady away, let the race unfold. At first Louisa Bennie (Blue R7 28) and Ian Tune (Black RS660 222) came past me, and I wanted to beat these guys ideally. After passing them, I was behind a pack of standard SV650's that had launched off the line. My plan was to stick to a comfortable pace, and only go quicker if a Supertwin shows me a wheel. Polly Richardson, the standard twin wet weather specialist (SV650 Red/White 81), came through and worked her way through the other standard twins. Eventually I was following Kai Byford Howard (RAF SV650) and Polly as the track started to dry, exactly how Qualifying ended. I resisted the urge to close them down, I was where I needed to be. Tommy and Liam Kirk crashed out of this one, Liam at the first chicane, and Tommy managed to slide all the way down the hill, straight through the second chicane.
