This 15.95m sportscruiser is the flagship of Beneteau’s redesigned GT line, powered by twin Volvo IPS650s for a top speed of 32 knots. The second-generation GT50 brings a clean new silhouette, a new hull by Bill Dixon, and a serious uplift in outdoor living space. In this full walkthrough, Jack explores the deck layout, interior fit-out, and technical features that define this new flagship. On deck, the GT50 leans hard into its "villa on the water" concept. Twin drop-down terraces open the cockpit into a floating beach club, paired with a large sunpad and modular dining setup. A hydraulic swim platform lifts a tender or jet ski, and there’s a proper “boot” for water toys. Up front, the bow seating is deep and comfortable, more like a bowrider than a sunpad. With optional grill, fridge and upgraded lighting, this feels like a proper party spec day yacht, designed to switch from relaxed afternoons to drinks-at-anchor mode with ease. Below, the interior has been pared back and rethought. The helm gets carbon trim and an Alcantara wheel with Alpine branding. The galley is midships and connected to the cockpit by a fold-out window and bar. There’s no full saloon with just a compact settee, next to the helm, under the sunroof, but this is a boat built around the cockpit and decks. Finishes are clean, matte and modern, with big windows and flush thresholds that stretch light from bow to stern. Accommodation comes in two or three-cabin layouts. In this version, there’s a forward owner’s cabin with a private bathroom, a large VIP midships that can convert between twin or double, and a compact single cabin for occasional guests or kids.
