Description
This vlog is a walk through Ayala Art Walk at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati, part of 10 Days of Art PH 2026, where contemporary art quietly enters everyday city life.
For the past decade, Ayala Triangle has continuously evolved. Restaurants have come and gone. What was once a mix of casual dining and convenience stores is now a carefully curated space filled with lifestyle brands, cafés, open lawns, and public art. The grass is constantly repaired and regenerated, music festivals now happen more frequently, and after work hours, people from all walks of life gather here to jog, walk, explore, or simply pause.
I usually come here to complete my daily steps, but this time, I stayed longer.
Between Thoughts
“Between Thoughts” exists in the space where the mind drifts without trying to arrive anywhere. Life in the city rarely stops, but our thoughts constantly slip away—while waiting, walking, commuting, scrolling. These works capture those moments people don’t realize they’re having.
Displayed on large LED billboards and projections across Makati, the artworks gently interrupt the city’s rhythm. Each piece becomes a shared pause—a collective daydream experienced privately.
As part of @10daysofartph 2026, the works are installed across six locations in Makati:
“Daydream” — Circuit Makati
“Something I Meant to Remember” — Glorietta
“Idle Thoughts” — One Ayala
“In the Back of My Mind” — Ayala Triangle Gardens
“Recall” — Greenbelt
Featured artists include Isaiah Cacnio, whose work explores memory, attention, and mental drift—how thoughts surface, dissolve, and linger as we move through the city.
Ayala Triangle Gardens & Makati life
Ayala Triangle Gardens becomes especially alive in the late afternoon and evening. After office hours, Makati residents—often called Makatizens—gather here to jog, walk, and unwind. It’s one of the few places where business, nature, art, and daily life intersect naturally.
Nearby spots like George and Onnie’s make it easy to pause for food or coffee while staying within walking distance of the installations.
You’ll also notice how Ayala Land has shaped these spaces intentionally—walkable paths, open lawns, integrated cafés, and public art that feels accessible rather than intimidating.
Tips for foreigners, expats, and first-time visitors:
Best time to visit: Late afternoon to evening, when the LED installations and city lights are visible.
Walkability: Makati’s central districts—Ayala Triangle, Greenbelt, Glorietta, One Ayala, and Circuit—are designed to be walkable. Comfortable shoes matter.
Safety: Makati is one of the most foreigner-friendly areas in Metro Manila, with visible security and well-maintained public spaces.
Getting around: Everything featured in this vlog can be accessed by walking or short rides.
Living in Makati: Many expats choose Makati for its balance of green spaces, cultural events, dining, and accessibility—it’s a city designed for daily life, not just work.
This vlog is not just a guide to art—it’s a glimpse into how Makati feels when you slow down enough to notice the pauses between thoughts.
