Next, I visited Al Mujtaba Roll Point, a place that’s known among locals for its spicy chicken and beef paratha rolls. The meat was tender, the spices were bold, and the sauces added the perfect punch. Then came the highlight for desi food lovers: Jeddah Nihari and Biryani Centre. I tried their slow-cooked nihari, rich in masala and served with soft naan – a dish that Karachiites take very seriously. Their biryani, loaded with flavor and perfectly cooked rice, was a must-try and did not disappoint. Aside from these, I also sampled food from a few more hidden gems in the area, including roadside chaat vendors, kebab stalls, and local dhaba-style setups that are serving some of the most underrated flavors in the city.
