Description

*originally recorded on 2-9-26* Signal on the left: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x20 inch light with a Leotek EV Series LED, a dying Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights. Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a WCH mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights. This crossing is in a quiet zone, trains do not blow their horns at this crossing. After catching A81, I figured 289 was gonna be right behind them so I decided to hop over to this crossing to try and catch them. Soon after I got set-up here, I was able to catch my fifth train of the day: NS 289 rolling through Decatur with a pair of AC44C6Ms for power. Thankfully, nothing has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it, which is nice to see. Good to see the Safetran mechanical bell on the far side's still hanging-on here as well. It's still kinda amusing to me that the busiest crossing in north Alabama still has a pair of mechanical bells at it. https://www.rxrsignals.com/Alabama/A-F/Decatur/Vine1/ If you like my videos, feel free to leave me a tip on Ko-Fi!
