[HUAWEI MATE XT ULTIMATE – ROAD TRIP REVIEW]
Before folding phones, I was … content. I was, to quote Macbeth, “whole as the marble.” And then a couple ambitious companies proved it was possible to fit more into your pocket – and after that, well, each time I was forced back onto a regular phone, I felt “cabin’d, cribbed, confined.”
So I dove with both feet into this new frontier – and for a few years I stabilized, grateful for the new normal. And then, this fall, one of the same companies that first made phones flexible decided to give us even more. This is the Mate XT Ultimate by Huawei – a phone that becomes a tablet, yes ... but with one more unfolding, it also becomes a proper 10.2 widescreen.
That said, is “more space” really all it’s cracked up to be? Is something special … enough? I took the Mate XT with me for a week in India to find out.
[ABOUT MRMOBILE'S HUAWEI MATE XT ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP REVIEW]
MrMobile's Road Trip Review for the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate was produced following one week with a Mate XT Ultimate Edition sample on loan from MKBHD. Tested on T-Mobile.
Filmed partially on location in Delhi and Agra at MediaTek's 2024 Experience India Summit, for which MediaTek provided travel, lodging, food & drink and a fee for Michael Fisher's appearance at a fan meetup.
MrMobile does not offer manufacturers the opportunity to preview, edit or approve content before publication. Huawei did not provide compensation in exchange for this coverage. The lone sponsor of this video is Surfshark.
